Fiber optic core reflection gwajin ana ci gaba ta hanyar Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). Wace na'ura ce da ake amfani da ita don gano ainihin kurakurai a cikin hanyar haɗin fiber na gani na hanyoyin sadarwa. OTDR yana haifar da bugun jini a cikin fiber don a gwada shi don kuskure ko lahani. Abubuwan da suka faru daban-daban a cikin fiber suna haifar da watsewar baya na Rayleigh.
