Different clamps according to installation method
There are number of drop clamps in market depend on materials, installation method etc. Here we classify the drop clamps into 3 types refer to installation method.
1)Shim clamping type (ODWAC)
This type of drop clamps consists of shell, shim and a wedge equipped with a bail wire. The wire bail can be open or closed. The process of installation is simple, just need to put a appropriate drop cable in the shell, put the shim against cable then insert wedge in shell, at last attach the whole assembly on FTTH hook or bracket. The materials of this clamps can be stainless steel, UV resistant plastic, or both stainless steel and plastic.
2)Cable coiling type
This type of drop clamps usually has a mandrel body shape in which cable can be coiled and self-tighten. The installation of this very easy, no require other tools. Choose appropriate drop cable and coil the cable on mandrel body then tighten it. At last attach the assembly on FTTH hook or bracket. The wire bail can be open or closed and the material usually are UV resistant plastic, stainless steel.
3)Wedge clamping type
This type of clamps equipped a wedge used to clamp drop cable when the cable and wedge were inserted in main body. The materials of this clamps are usually in UV resistant plastic, stainless steel S hook.
